Commissioning Weekend 2024 will celebrate God's faithfulness in The Salvation Army in the USA Central Territory.
Theme: “Spirit Living”
Purpose: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23
On Friday night, there will be a Commencement Ceremony to celebrate Officers who have completed educational milestones this year.
Saturday afternoon, we will engage together in service projects around the community in Milwaukee. Saturday evening we will hear from our new Territorial Commander, Commissioner Evie Diaz as she speaks on the Fruit of the Spirit.
On Sunday we will witness the sacred Ordination and Commissioning of the Defenders of Justice Session as the Cadets are ordained as ministers and commissioned to do the work of The Salvation Army with their new rank of Lieutenant.

List of Saturday Service Projects:
- On site at the Miller High Life Theatre: Assemble Outreach bags that would be distributed in the Milwaukee area to the unhoused and the children and adults we serve on our Feed the Kids routes during the Summer.
- Salvation Army Cold Spring Corps: Cleaning and organizing the Children’s Room and sorting and placing food in the pantry shelves.
- Salvation Army Distribution Center: Preparation in various forms for the Feed the Kids program, including: set up of food prep tables, sorting and organizing paper good supplies, cleaning of vehicles and food tubs.
- Salvation Army Emergency Lodge: Commissioning delegates will provide a time of games and activities for the children and families in our 24/7 Family Shelter followed by an Ice Cream Social.
- Salvation Army West Corps: Supporting an outreach opportunity in the neighborhood and park next to the Corps.
